Job Description:
The Research Scientist will support the development of Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) cellular network testbed, add non-realtime Radio Intelligent Controller (RIC) capability to the testbed, investigate and implement methods for generating and migrating interference for the testbed, and complete the tasks and deliverables for our client.

Research and deploy open-source cellular software stacks that can be used to set up a testbed to conduct research on O-RAN technology.
Evaluate solutions with regards to support for its compliance to the O-RAN Alliance specifications.
Evaluate the hardware requirements for each platform against equipment available.
Demonstrate the implementation of new testbed features.
Document all results in reports.
Other duties as needed to support the O-RAN testbed project.
Write technical approaches for proposals.

Expertise in wireless technologies such as 3GPP technologies (e.g., LTE or NR) and signal processing is required.
3-years is required in testing and deploying wireless technologies related to cellular communications. This includes experience with SDRs, channel emulators, C++, and LabView.
3-years is required in the domain of wireless communications and work experience in computer networks including evaluating their performance.
Theoretical and hands-on RF experience, including but not limited to: understanding of software-defined radio (SDR) and its schematic, power amplifiers, filters, power splitters/combiners, etc is preferred.
Experience with communication testbeds: srsRAN, OAI, 4G or 5G. ORAN is preferred.
Use of lab equipment: channel emulator, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, etc is preferred.
Understanding of communication standards, especially LTE, 5G and 5G ORAN is preferred.

The Business Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire and train new employees.
Organize and oversee the schedules and work of assigned staff.
Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
